When performing concrete services in shopping centers we work closely with all major store chains to provide an uninterrupted egress an egress to stores. When at all times possible our preparations are scheduled for nighttime so concrete pouring can be accomplished during early daytime hours before the rush.
We set the forms in place, pour the concrete and strip the forms off afterward. During the summer in this area, we strip the forms off the next day. During the winter we leave them on for 2-3 days depending upon the weather conditions, particularly temperature. When it gets cold, we have some very cozy insulated blankets we use to keep the concrete from freezing (we also recommend that these be used to cover open, excavated foundation sites until we start setting the footer or foundation—once the freshly excavated site freezes we have to delay starting until it thaws again).
